Why do we pay our Ministers so well when they aren't willing to be held accountable?

Do you know why the head of the elections department, Lee Seng Lup, and the PMO will never take responsibility over the empty ballot boxes?

Well A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words.

It is clear from many situations in the past that PAP Govt Leaders and Civil Servants deny, finger point at others, give lame excuses and never take ownership or be held accountable for mistakes and screw ups they make.

From LKY's "2 is enough" campaign which lead our Singaporean TFR downwards- affecting local population growth to Raymond Lim's Suzhou $40 B loss/Tpt Mess.

There was also Mah Bow Tan's HDB Fiasco and denial,Wong Kan Seng's tears and failure to take responsibility on the Mat Selamat fiasco and more.

The list goes on... Many times, the PAP Leaders and top civil servants dodge responsibility and are never held accountable for errors under their charge.

There is no wonder that in the recent Ballot Boxes incident, the elections dept and head (PMO) will never own up nor account for their lapse.

It seems that the all believe in "An Iron Rice Bowl" never to be broken or sacked, they will never resign for any issues. Perhaps "Accountability" and "Ownership" are foreign words to them!

Even a sexually promiscuous PAP MP who was having an affair with a PA girl while married, Michael Palmer was not sacked. He was allowed to resign and the PAP govt even went to thank him and honour him for his work. Only the girl in the affair was painted as a vixen by DPM Teo and the state media.

But overall, they continue to claim they are the best and seek the highest pay and bonuses equal to the best professionals and CEOs... maybe even higher!

Our government remains as the highest paid politicians/civil servants globally. However, unlike professionals and CEOs who get sacked or take ownership and resign, they will not and never did.

Only Singaporeans can do something about this and take them to task with our retrenchment powers to sack them via our votes.

Think carefully Singapore.
