This page has been very active with articles, some neutral and some very against the government. I feel that there are actually a little too much anti-government articles. Articles about how the government is bad, every government organization is bad, one government official bad = the WHOLE government bad.
Don’t you guys think that there is too much complaining going on? What purposes can these articles serve? Can the authors ‘talk’ to the government through these articles? I’d say no, taking into account some articles’ casual style.
These articles are used to ‘spread awareness’. Well, I think we’ve spread enough awareness, and there is no need to continue bombing the government. Instead, we should start changing.
No, I don’t refer to GE2016. Don’t you think that 2016 is too much wait?
And furthermore, if the government changes hands, it would be too much work, and Singapore will become very vulnerable at that time, with the new MPs slowly learning the ropes. And the thing is, we aren’t even sure that the new MPs are even good, or even whether the government will change hands.
Why not we change now? And I certainly don’t mean a revolution. I mean a change in the government’s way. We can, instead of just complaining, draft up and suggest proposals for the government to see. If you have a problem with ERP gantries, kindly suggest ways to change the system. Not just telling the government, “ you have to change the ERP system. It is bad”, you can yourself think of ways to do that.
If the government really doesn’t want to change, then GE2016, unfortunately, will have to be our last resort. This is just a suggestion, but the main point is, we should stop all these bombs. Bombs need a factory to be produced, and a factory is not that cheap. A total waste of time.
What use is there if you just spread the anger and get everyone’s blood pressure up. Anger does not help you solve problems; anger does not change the government. Neither does high blood pressure actually. Why don’t we stop complaining, and do stuff more important than that. Your work, your family, spend more time on these instead of bombing the government, which will land you with nothing but a high blood pressure.
I’m sure I have offended quite a lot of people now, but it’s just a view of mine. You can ignore it for all you want. But the loss is yours, not mine.
Cheers!
