Malaysian sex bloggers Alvin Tan and Vivien Lee have been released from prison after signing bail papers today (Jul 26). Tan was seen smirking at bystanders and reporters while Vivien looked 'somewhat lost'.

The couple, also known as Alvivi, were charged over the display of pornographic images on their blog and for an offensive posting on facebook. They had posted a picture of themselves eating bak kut teh, with the words "Selamat Berbuka Puasa" (Happy Breaking Fast) and a "halal" logo.

They were sent to separate prisons after claiming trial to three charges. Both were denied bail due to a 'tendency to incite the public' but were granted a RM30,000 bail each yesterday (Jul 25).

According to a report on The Star, the couple signed papers for their release at the Jalan Duta courts after a week in prison today. Their bail was posted by Alvin's mother yesterday.

Spotting a crew-cut hairstyle, Tan described his experience as 'not bad' and continued acting defiant.

He was seen smirking at reporters and bystanders upon his arrival at the court house in handcuffs and after he was released.

Vivian, however, walked a step behind Alvin looking somewhat lost and covered her face with her hair.

A bystander commented that it was surprising she could "show everything on the Internet but cannot show her face in court".

The couple, whose lawyer said they were "happy to be out", were ushered into waiting cars and driven off separately.
