Finally we heard news of Ello, the Filipino nurse, being charged, however, would he get a fine, a jail term or simply another stern warning? I don't know and it is not for me to comment.

When will all these ends? Well, it will not, the list will continue on and on.
As a Singaporean who had experienced the leadership of all 3 Prime Ministers, never had I felt as insulted as within the past few years.
Nowadays, Singaporeans are being belittled, and this is a very sad situation. We used to be praised as hardworking and able to bring Singapore from 3rd World to the 1st. But today, it is widely claimed that it was Mr Lee Kuan Yew who single-handedly made that happened.
Do you know why there are such strong anti-Singaporean sentiments and why these waves of sentiments will never subside?
Well, the answer is simple, we have to thank our leaders for that - when our leaders label foreign as 'talent' and use "disgrace" on Singaporeans, and when foreigner started a riot, the comment is that their crime rate is lower than Singaporeans. So how do you expect others to respect Singaporeans?
When the leaders do not even know the Basis Of Singaporean Spirit, how could he lead?
When the leaders do not fulfil the Basis Of a Leader, how can they add values to the People?
If they don't admit their mistakes, and change their mindsets, Singapore will be lost, as what Ello said:
"kick out all the Singaporeans and SG will be the new filipino state"
To put matter worst, the level of obsession among Singaporeans is phenomenal.
Some even went on to PLP that Lee Kuan Yew turned Singapore from fishing village to the modern Singapore, he did not, it was Sir Stamford Raffles. LKY said this himself!
“The Legacy is that of connectedness with the World. That is what made Singapore get off the ground. From a barely inhabited island, infertile, of no consequence to the World, he (Raffles) made it an important hub. And that we must keep up, because otherwise, it would sink back to a fishing village.”
Some felt that Mr Lee Kuan Yew can turn ANY COUNTRY to be like Singapore, no he can't. He said that himself!
Most people felt that only PAP can bring Singapore forward, however, not knowing that today's PAP has nothing to do with the one in the past.
Think about the list of problems we had today: Bus Strikes, SLA Lamborghini, NKF Saga, NEA Dengue Fever, MRT Failure, Little India Riot, Bukit Batok Rat Infestation, etc. Haven’t you realised the fundamental problems we had today?
Yes, you may argue that those are “isolated events”. However, take a step backwards and think about it again, with so many “isolated events” of such magnitude across every single area, isn’t this a clear enough signal that underneath all these, something dreadfully bad is underway?
Do you know why we were able to adhere to the Basis Of Singaporean Spirit? Do you know why we were able to achieve "Happiness, Prosperity and Progress" all together?
Well, this is because we all understood the basis of Singapore's success and operated Singapore as a home, not a hotel.
Today, this new batch of people, although calling themselves as PAP, they DO NOT hold the samefounding spirit of Singapore anymore. Singapore is now being operated as a hotel, so how can we ever achieve "Happiness, Prosperity and Progress"?
Dear Singaporeans, this is the message Mr Lee Kuan Yew left for us:
“The British Governance – you came you do your business, make your money, go back if you like, stay if you like. I had to make this place work. No matter you are Chinese from various parts of China, Indian from various parts of India, Malays from various parts of the archipelago. We have to weld ourselves into one cohesive society. So that this is not a hotel, this is a home.
There is difference.”
It doesn't matter which party you support, but the governing party (or parties) must follow the basis, i.e.operating Singapore as a home.
There is no issue if you want to support an A Team. There is also no issue if you want to support an F Team. However, it will be a big issue if you are supporting an F Team thinking it is A.
Wake up Singapore, those people behind the Lightning Logo today are not the same people 50 years ago.
