September 16, 2014 at 10:20 am (Quote)My colleague showed a newspaper heading, that 80% of jobs go to Singaporean. While we know at my department, 4 new engineers are all foreigners. 2 from our local NUS, paid for 80% by our hard earned money, while another 2 came from cheap degrees overseas. The 2 fresh grad definitely don’t know shit, while the other 2, I have tested and don’t know shit either.
Even when I joined this department, all those “diploma” level, and holds the same job appointment as me, don’t know shit, and all of them are foreigners. I was the first local diploma level who came in because they kept getting foreigners “diploma level” who don’t know shit.
Then now we got 4 more foreigners who have no shit idea what to do. End up I have to teach them, while I hold the lowest rank. While my Singaporean Bosses happily getting cheap foreign workers, while having a 40+ year old to suffer the burden of teaching all of them what to.
Now you know where the 60.1% comes from.
My fellow Muslim-Reservist compatriot and citizen,
Thank you for sharing what the true situation in your workplace is really and truly like.
Our military general-heavy cabinet do not understand that the map is not the territory. They decide on the approach on how to present the employment data to the citizens which MOM then proceeds to faithfully adhere to and churn out.
In the process of misleading us citizens, they bluff themselves as well ‘cos with the statistics presented the way it is to the citizens, they cannot dispute what is public info without damaging their MOM cabinet colleague and their own credibility.
And on and on and on the approach repeats itself. Therefore, Change we Must.
End PAP’s dominance before PAP’s dominance ends us all.
