Dear TRS,
Singpost today gave a stranger my brother's personal contact number AND ADDRESS when she (the stranger) called up the Singpost hotline asking for the whereabouts of her package (which we did not receive at all).
She had apparently been expecting a registered parcel that the SingPost staff said was delivered to us so the SingPost staff give the stranger our details, and she called us.
I can't believe that Singpost Customer Service reps gave away my personal information to someone I do not know.
This is a breach of trust and Singpost's security. How can Singpost give away their customers' details like that?!?!!
The item that the stranger had lost in the mail is a registered item, which we would not have been able to receive in the first place as the deliveryman will always counter check with the piece of white paper the address and addressee before we can sign and receive the item. We didn't even receive any registered parcel as claimed.
What is ridiculous is that Singpost CS reps are able to give away customers' details over the phone without any question, without considering the security and privacy of their customers.
