(In brief):
Took a taxi just now. Chatted with a male Malay taxi driver. The topic quickly turned to the horrible PAP government. (At some point, I noticed he was wearing a light blue shirt ---- the Workers' Party colour)
"We have too many foreigners here. The government is not listening to us. Many of these foreigners do not serve National Service (conscription). National Service has lost its meaning. Who are we defending?"
He also mentioned feeling sad for many Singaporeans. He mentioned that he has picked up Singaporeans who are old and have disabilities who still need to work to struggle to survive. One was a blind man. Another was in a wheelchair.
It turned out this taxi driver is a WP (Worker's Party) voter from Hougang. When I got off his taxi, he said," Come 2016 (the next election), you know what to do."
I reassured him I will not vote for the PAP. I gave him a hi-five.
More Taxi Drivers should encourage their passengers to vote for the opposition.
