Dear The Real Singapore,
I am a PE teacher teaching in a local neighbourhood school and it hurts my feelings to see my students (see pic above) kissing publicly like that in their school uniform. I shall not use my religious teachings and upbringing as a method to tell my students not to behave in homosexuality behaviour but I feel that the very least homosexuality behaviour should not be promoted in school.
Some of the other pro-LBGT teachers are teaching students that it is okay to be a gay or lesbian and say that students should be proud of it and even not be afraid to show it to others your affections with your gay partner in public.
I believe it is strongly against my religious and moral upbringing but I am also afraid of imposing my ideals on others.
Is it really acceptable for secondary school children to be behaving like this in school?
I hope my identity will be kept anonymous as I do not want to get sack by MOE because I have a family to take care of.
Thank you very much
Sincerely,
Local Neighbourhood School Teacher
