Life before General Elections 2011 was pure misery for many average Singaporeans.
You have seen for yourself how Singapore's landscape has changed ever since PAP mismanaged our economy and lives.
You are a case worker in MSF helping ex-convicts in their rehab.
You have witnessed at first hand how finding a good quality job in Singapore for these ex-convicts is even tougher than running a marathon.
You have seen for yourself how Changi Business Park is transformed to Little India when thousands of their Indian IT Nationals flock towards their cafeteria during lunch.
You have also seen how some condos such as Melville Park are infested with Indian Nationals or have picked up a calling agent with a Pinoy accent when you need help with a bank transaction.
All these jobs could have gone to me or any Singaporean or to me but with PAP's liberal stand on foreigners over locals, finding a job became an uphill task.
I hear you complain in 2010 that helping ex-convicts finding jobs is so tough because there are just too many foreigners in Singapore.
As a result, you had a heavy workload but you also cannot voice out to your boss in MSF because you are just a yes man who needs to obey orders. You once complained and bitched to me how you wished you can talk to your boss in MSF over your work related issues but you can't as you can be seen as insubordination of behaviour.
Well, let me tell you this. If you are a "Yes Man" at work, all the more you should vote more opposition politicians into Parliament as they are the channels to help lighten your workload in MSF.
The incumbent government PAP has worsen the people’s livelihood and poised to make life harder in the years to come before General Elections 2011. But there can only be so much blame to be placed on an incompetent and out of touch government who have paid themselves too much.
But things have started to look up after General Elections 2011. After PAP received its lowest mandate in history, suddenly, they decided to wake up. You have seen how the quality of debate has woken up in Parliament after we voted more opposition politicians.
You have seen and witnessed how Our SG Conversation makes PAP listen to us more. You even once told me that when you joined Our SG Conversation, you really enjoyed it as it was the time you can be carefree and speak your mind without any worries to your ricebowl in MSF.
You have seen how ex-convicts managed to find jobs easier after MOM decided to repatriate Pinoys back to their homeland and not renew their work permits.
You have seen how PM Lee promised to pledge $250 million to help VWOs. You have also seen how Workers Party Muhamad Faisal, being a social worker himself, championed and pressured PAP to do more for social service and the staff there.
If you choose to vote for PAP and give them a high mandate, you will expect PAP to ignore us once again. It will make your job even tougher as you scramble to help ex-convicts rehab back into their lives. And to top it off, you are unable to voice out because being salaried workers, we just have to obey orders from MSF and be a yes men and practice group thinking.
Voting more opposition politicians will promote good governance and competition.
Opposition politicians will help you voice out issues pertaining to your work that you cannot voice out in MSF because you have to obey orders and be a Yes man.
Change will only happen on the outside when we pressure the PAP government to listen more to us.
Always vote for a political party that will be your humble servant.
Not a party that threatens you with defamation lawsuits, Operation Spectrum or tells you that they will take away your estate upgrading if you don't vote them in.
