A few TRS readers spotted this cloud of thick black smoke billowing from a factory in Jurong. TRS reader Virusdemon says that the smoke is getting thicker as time passes.
TRS reader Virusdemon was at Pandan Road when he saw the smoke.
He said:
"I was at Pandan Road when I saw thick smoke emerging from the Taman Jurong Factory.
"The smoke is getting thicker and thicker."
TRS reader Zhi Qi and Caroline David were both at home when they noticed the smoke.
Zhi qi said:
"Black smog can be seen opposite from my house which happened after 10am.
"Its 11.15am now and the smog seems darker(fire has worsened).
"Hopefully, the fire has not spread and everyone who is working at the factory is safe."
Caroline David said:
"I stay at Jurong East St 13.
"I saw this my window - thick black smoke billowing out from a factory in Jurong!"
TRS reader Song Hua said the west started to smell like ashes after the thick smoke surrounded places in the west. She thinks the fire could've started in the industrial area.
She said:
"Thick smoke seen from multiple places in the west.
"The air smells of ashes.
"There could be a pretty huge fire in the industrial area.
"I hope everyone is safe."
