Dear CEO / General Manager,
May I say how considerate it is of you to provide my family and I such unique dining experience at your hotel’s River Palace Chinese Restaurant yesterday night especially on my birthday celebration.
Most other restaurants I have dined at would simply wish to provide me an uninterrupted, peaceful, pleasant and quiet dining experience from order taking all the way to bill payment. I was intrigued that your staff had to interrupt my birthday dinner celebration not once, not twice but five times! And who wants to keep having the same uninterrupted, peaceful and pleasant dinner experience all the time? We got to engage your staff in tempestuous and gusty disagreement every step of the way!
I particularly enjoyed sampling your Malaysian Chinese waiter Alex Wong’s incivility and mindless behaviour towards all my family members. I find it absurd that people imagine all restaurant waiters and restaurant service staff to have the same decorousness, friendliness, and politeness. And as for being abused and assaulted by Alex while refusing to allow my family and me to leave the restaurant, I feel as if I’ve received most of your restaurant’s hospitality already. Alex even grabbed me by the arm very firmly to prevent me from leaving the restaurant. I guess he simply can’t bear to have me leave the restaurant without one final experience of your restaurant’s lovely, warm and authentic service. Wow I am really touched by his great service.
I also found it unique that this was all done on my birthday dinner celebration night, because I do like to have time to experience the different levels of dining service. As for your restaurant manager, Emily, well, let’s just say who wants to be all serious and attentive to your customers all the time? I’m glad she was smiling and grinning from ear to ear even when we were seriously expressing our alarmed concerns and feedback to her. She was indifferent and nonchalant all the way when we were speaking to her about how awesome a service Alex had given us.
So thank you, CEO/General Manager of River Palace Chinese Restaurant and Riverview Hotel Singapore. I now truly understand why your restaurant keeps getting compliments for their skilled, fabulous and great customer service. I will definitely share and recommend to all my friends and associates on my ultimate wonderful dining experience at River Palace Chinese Restaurant.
