Sharing photos of the Milo Youth Triathlon 2013 where he ran with the SportsCares kids and youths, Tan Chuan-Jin made fun of keyboard warriors "arguing about midnight calls".
His full post read: " I support SportsCares work. It is not keyboard warrior stuff arguing about midnight calls :) but work by volunteers and staff to help inspire and fundamentally change lives.
Come forward and help. I hope that we can partner them in our area with our youths as well. Good job and thank you to all who keep things real!" and is seen in the screen shot above.
Tan Chuan-Jin brands social activists commenting online as "keyboard warriors" and claims that it is action that fundamentally changes lives.
Dear Mr Tan, why do Ministers like you have to resort to name calling?
How do you know that the activists are not going into the ground to help people?
Ravi Philemon and Andrew Loh are two prime examples who go around quietly helping the poor and vulnerable. That you do not see something doesn't mean it is not happening.
At least Ravi and Andrew do not walk around with the mainstream media lapdogs in tow to publicize their good deeds not like Mr Tan and his millionaire counterparts who seek every opportunity to reap political gains from every single charity act.
