Dual citizenship holder: I was "forced" to serve NS and prevented from leaving

I am writing this because of my deeply rooted disgust for your policies.

A little back ground of myself. When I was a minor my parents applied for my citizenship at secondary 1.
I have always planned to go back to my own continent. I never wanted this citizenship that my parents persuaded me to take up.

Months before my enlistment (or enslavement) into the Singapore Armed Forces, I made a call to CMPB to inform them that I had intentions of renouncing the Singaporean Citizenship and was misinformed by their personnel that I had no choice but to enlist first and could proceed with the renunciation whilst doing my time (I say that because it is clearly not serving any purpose other than fuel my hatred).

Lets just say I naively trusted this individual, and did not bother remembering his name. 13months passed in the SAF, dealing with every piece of meat and making some friends. I turned 21, I was of age to FINALLY renounce this citizenship.
The Constitution of the Republic of Singapore recognizes that a citizen of Singapore may renounce his Singapore citizenship by declaration registered by the Government (Article 128(1)). However, the registration of a declaration may be withheld until he has discharged his liability for full-time service under Section 12 of the Enlistment Act (Article 128(2)). As such, he is required to complete full-time NS before his request to renounce his Singapore citizenship by declaration registered by the Government can be considered.
So basically, Singapore's Immigrations and Customs Authority allows me to renounce my citizenship, but on the condition that CMPB or MINDEF gives me a letter of discharge. (Which I've heard of many acquaintances doing so to return to their homeland, and yes they were holding on to two citizenships.)

Logically, Singapore's Immigrations and Customs Authority should have more power and authority to renounce my citizenship thus rendering my liability for National Service (more like military service) nonexistent.

But no, they insist on playing this ridiculous beaurocratic game.

This is roughly what's happening:
1. Before the age of 18, an adult chooses for you (citizenship and etc).
2. Between 18 and 21, you're in a state of limbo where you're not old enough to decide for yourself, but you're old enough for your parents to not be allowed to make the decision for you.
3. 21 onwards, if you're a male in the military, you are property of the SAF.
4. If you are in your military service, when you are legally able to renounce your citizenship, CMPB and ICA have the authority to withhold your renunciation until (a) you finish your liability or (b) your citizenship lapses.
5. ICA is okay with renunciation and would allow if you are discharged from the military (even an early discharge).
6. CMPB/MinDef allows if ICA is okay with it, however since the condition of being discharged is not met, they understand it as ICA doesn't allow.

So the issue never gets tackled and never comes to a conclusion. Again, I have no intentions of living, working or returning to Singapore. So why are you even keeping me in your purposeless organization? It's illogical, it's inhumane, it's of arbitrary reason(more like excuse) and law that you are keeping me here.

Again referring to the email reply(see photo). I'm being subjected to military law because of your civilian law, because this is INVOLUNTARY SERVITUDE. (Article 4, UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.)
The fact that it is involuntary servitude makes it slavery, except since it's a law, it's legal. Does it make sense?

And my right to the choice of nationality (as per Article 15, UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights,
  • (1) Everyone has the right to a nationality.
  • (2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.)
The word was arbitrarily. There is absolutely no point of me wasting my life in your SAF when I do not even want your nation. Your organisation has lied to me, has been the continuous cause for contempt, and made going home(obviously not this country) difficult and short-lived.

Also, I feel the need to point out, Article 19 or the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

Thank you CMPB for wasting my time in your military, and for all those times I had to deal with the most base and useless intellectually challenged regulars, whom we thought, are supposed to be professionals.

Sincerely,

Not-Your-Countryman.
Let me go.
