I do not think the flyer is such a clever idea, at least politically. I'm not sure if it represents the entire Aljunied GRC or just one part of it. I think the media had covered sufficiently on the facts surrounding the AGO report and what took place in parliament.
Will the distribution of this flyer result in residents marching to the AHPETC office en masse demanding immediate answers? Can that actually happen?
So what do people behind this flyer expect to see as a result? If there is any doubt about the integrity of AHPETC as well as the Workers Party, it would have sunken in. Will the flyer makes the doubts anymore stronger? Unless the people behind the flyer thinks that residents of Aljunied were not sufficiently convinced that wrong had been committed and question of integrity raised, and therefore needed to be nudged. If this is truly the thinking then this flyer is in effect counter productive. The flyer have in effect destroyed all that had been done leading to an ultimate full disclosure and the desired outcome of Aljunied residents abandoning the WP in the next election, which is undeniably the real intention. a crude way of looking at it is if there are already worms in the crop, don't dig it out to see if the worms are working alright. Leave the worms to do what is necessary.
Those with mind fixed on both sides cannot be swayed and we can clearly see them typically in action here, more stubbornness than realistic. But to those living in Aljunied it is more than just clever arguments trampling over one's opponents. It is their part of daily living of whether there is sufficient Sinking Fund to cover unexpected contingencies which may happen right where they lived, and whether a certain way of managing town council finance and for that matter the entire town council should continue in like manner.
It is best left to wait and see, or listen if you may what might the Workers Party have to say eventually. The longer they kept quite the better for the PAP, so why don't these PAP supporters see this point.
