Did an interview with Circus Bazaar when I was in Norway. The video should be up soon!
Spoke to them about how the Singapore PAP-run government has been prosecuting Singaporeans and preventing the opposition from running for elections over the past 50 years so that they could gain control of government and siphoned off money to earn for themselves.
The PAP government then increased the prices of housing, healthcare, and education, among others while depressing wages and subsidies, making Singapore the most expensive country and city in the world today, where a significant proportion of Singaporeans simply cannot earn enough to even pay for basic necessities or even retire. It is estimated that 30% of Singaporeans live in poverty.
Singapore today is a place with a First World facade where the people live Third World lives, where the elderly cannot retire and many have to work to their deaths, and where many Singaporeans cannot afford healthcare and have to sell their homes to pay for healthcare or choose to die instead of seek care.
The Singapore that our forefathers fought to built is now dismantling in front of the very eyes of Singaporeans. But a change of government where a new government will enact new policies to take care of and protect Singaporeans might just turn things around.
