A 17 year old boy has been arrested by police at Hougang Avenue 8 for allegedly molesting two girls in lifts.
The incidents occurred on Jan 29 when a 15 year old girl lodged a police report about having been molested by an unidentified man shortly before 7pm when she was in the lift going up to her home.
The incident happened at Hougang Avenue 8.
About 1 and a half hours later, at 8:15, another similar incident occurred in a lift at Hougang avenue 10. The second incident involved a 12 year old girl.
Both police reports were lodged at the Hougang neighbourhood police centre and officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division then started to make extensive enquiries to identify the suspect.
Police arrested the suspect at about 12:30am on Friday morning and he will be charged in court today.
If convicted of molest, he could be jailed up to 2 years and be caned.
