Sadly, I have to side with Singapore on this one. Now one would ask, "Why? You're an American." Because a lot of the same attitude has been revealed in America by Filipinos. Now this is not to say that Philippine OFW's the world over are all this way. But what many have noticed is this ridiculous show of arrogance.
I have personally witnessed a police officer in California have to arrest a Filipino because he kept arguing and trying to justify his driving tactics with the officer. So much so, that he told the officer he had no clue what he was doing. WHAM!! On went the Cuffs.
My friend managed a Beer Hall / Billiard place in Riverside. And on a nightly basis would get into debates with the Filipino customers that kept insisting that he remain open because that's what happens in the Philippines. Well, too bad. So sad. Not in America. If ANY kind of drinking establishment is found to be open 1 minute after closing time. They can (and have been) fined and/or closed for good.
So do I believe this EDZ ELLO should be fired? YES. Do I believe he should be arrested and jailed for giving a false statement to the Police? YES! Do I believe he should be fined and deported? YES!! And in EDZ' case. It sounds like he never had any intentions of mending his ways.
And the same holds true of ANYONE who is residing in a foreign country. When you are there. You MUST do your best to abide by THEIR rules. And if not. Do your best to fix your own mistakes.
