I refer to: SIA's 'Singapore Girl' is Getting from Bad to Worse
Ok dude, here's my personal opinion against yours.....
To begin with, let's talk about the "Sarong kebaya" that you have been harping on so much.
A Kebaya is a traditional blouse worn by women in South East Asia, mainly Indonesia, Malaysia,Brunei and Singapore. Over hundred years of accustoming, the garment have become part of the local customs and tradition. In Malacca area, a different variety of kebaya is called "nyonya kebaya", a very important cultural part of the Perankan people, which is also worn by other races and cultures.
A Sarong is a large tube of fabric, often wrapped around the waist and worn as a skirt by men and women throughout much of Southern and East Western Asia, pacific islands and the horns of Africa. They are also used as wall hanging as an Art work, or other forms of clothing, such as baby carriers, full dresses, or as a shawl.
Sarong kebaya, which personifies the SIA brand in almost all Singapore Airlines advertisements, was designed by Pierre Balmain, a renowned French couturier in 1972, and is an inspiration from the traditional Malay evening dress.
So look here, it is no where near to 'Ang mohs' liking of anything exotic' or 'skimpily designed' as you have mentioned, and in case you did not realized, it is not difficult to deduce the vociferous tone of jealousy from your 'personal opinions'. On the same note, you had insulted and shown disrespect to many races and cultures due to your ignorance.
Being a service provider doesn't take away our feeling and the desire to be appreciated. Thus, we are generally more thankful to people who are more appreciative or empathetic to us having to wake up at three in the morning or to be away from our families during Christmas and Chinese New Year as so to serve them their first meal of the day and to escort them home to their loved ones. They say 'treat others the way you want to be treated', but I say 'treat others the way they treat you'.
Believe it or not, most of us gives our very best to our passengers. There is almost no valid reason for us to treat you badly or differently from others. If you are in our situation, do you dare say you could do better? Have a heart dude, we are only human.
