Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Grace Fu, unveiled the final jubilee baby gift pack today which will be given out to all Singaporean babies born next year.
The gift pack has been in planning for months now with a lot of public feedback on gift ideas to commemorate jubilee babies.
Grace Fu, who has been in charge of the project, said that many Singaporeans have participated in the planning and suggestions phases so this gift is “truly a gift for Singaporeans, by Singaporeans”.
The gift pack is in a suitcase containing a special medallion, Mutli-function Shawl, a Baby Sling, a set of baby clothes, a diaper bag, scrap book, family photo frame and a set of baby books.
Babies born next year will also receive a special commemorative birth certificate with a message from the PM inside.
“The SG50 Baby Jubilee Gift comes with all the best hopes from this generation of Singaporeans to the next. I hope that that every parent who receives the Gift net year will feel the heartfelt wishes of every Singaporean who contributed to it,” Ms Fu added.
Expecting parents will need to register to receive the gift through the National Population and Talent Division and they can choose to either receive home delivery for free or self-collection at any hospital registration counter or the ICA.
