Dear The Real Singapore,
This picture was taken at their PAP 60th anniversary held at Victoria Concert Hall recently.
We can see this MP (on the left), have to be held up by a person, probably his own bodyguard, in order for him to stand properly for this picture to be taken.
Nevermind if this guy doesn’t speak in Parliament or attend his meet-the-people sessions anymore. The fact is, he can’t even stand!
Why do we need to continue to pay him his $16,000 monthly salary?
I at least have more respect for SM Goh as he still attends the meet-the-people sessions to serve the people.
Also, SM Goh really contested in the last election and won Marine Parade GRC fairly.
But this guy???
Did he really win in Tanjong Pagar? It was a walkover with no competition!!
Isn’t it disgraceful that he keeps getting his salary for not doing his job at all, as an MP?
I know a lot of Singaporeans will scold me for showing no respect for Lee Kuan Yew because they have been totally brainwashed by the current education system teaching them that Lee Kuan yew is the only founding father of Singapore and without him Singapore will be a fishing village.
C'mon lah, do you guys really believe he ALONE is responsible for Singapore's modern prosperity? If he 1 person is fully responsible for everything then I am sorry to tell you guys we are living in a country with a Emperor or a Supreme Leader. People like Goh Keng Swee and many other founding members of the PAP also did a lot contribution to Singapore, are we suppose to give them money every month even after they retire too?
I am not denying his contribution to Singapore, please do not be mistaken. He should be recognized for help build Singapore to what it is today, he should get a statue, name a park or road after him or even a memorial built after him but he shouldn't be able to get free money just because he did a lot for Singapore.
If you want to do that and measure the contribution that Singaporeans contribute to the society, the government should introduce something like a pension scheme for all the old and elderly in Singapore to recognize their level of contribution and let them retire comfortably.
Honestly, Lee Kuan Yew in this cut-throat society that Lee Kuan Yew himself built, he deserve nothing more than a stupid Pioneer Generation Card just like the other pioneers in Singapore.
He should not be a MP if he is not doing anything for the people right now. case closed.
What about the other founders of PAP and other founding father of PAP? Do we taxpayers have to pay them 15k/month or feed their family until they die?
