I'd like to bring to your attention something that Singaporeans may not fully be aware of.
Dog lovers around Singapore have long been disgusted by the cruelty shown by stray dog catchers and we have heard so many cases of contractors abusing the dogs.
Here is another case where a new contractor has been seen prowling around the Punggol Area causing trouble for stray dog feeders and even kicking dogs!
The Sg Dogslover Facebook page shared photos of the new truck and explained what the local feeders in the area have been experiencing with these trappers.
The team is apparently all Malay and they are threatening to kick the dogs and are disturbing the feeders.
They even shared this video where the "extermination" team was seen confronting the dog feeders:
I am really sad that AVA is engaging such uncaring and cruel catchers to get rid of stray dogs.
For these animals that are caught, they are usually put to sleep, but worse still, the catchers are cruel to them before they are even put down.
It is also taxpayer money which funds these contractors as AVA is a government stat board which received public funds.
It is really devastating to see that my heard-earned tax dollars are also going toward funding cruel and uncaring dog catchers.
