Why increase toll for Singaporeans?
It states that ”It hopes the new return toll can be waived for Singapore-registered vehicles.
The Land Transport Authority has said it is Singapore’s long-standing policy to match its toll charges at the Causeway and Second Link to those set by Malaysia. It added that Singapore will follow suit should Malaysia reduce or do away with the toll charges.”
- what kind of nonsensical logic is this? – the tic for tac should only apply to Malaysian registered vehicles.
Another example of profiting at every opportunity?
Instead of helping Singaporeans and Singapore companies cope with the Malaysian toll increase – we took this as another classic opportunity to make profits out of Singaporeans.

… HDB – Selling the most expensive public housing in the world
… Healthcare – Not spending a single cent from a cashflow perspective, as Medisave annual contributions plus interest exceed all annual withdrawals and public healthcare spending
… Medishield – Billions of dollars in surplus ($2.3 billion in excess of premiums to claims in 5 years)
… Spending so little on the people that the Budget surplus was $36.1 billion in FY2012 using IMF fiscal reporting guidelines
