The caveman mentality of Singapore’s ruling elite

I noticed that Singapore’s current Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong has filed another defamation lawsuit against a Singaporean blogger though I’m not aware of the latest development of the case. I also read in another blog that Lee Kuan Yew when asked why he didn’t bother to sue many bloggers when they had been straightforward in identifying themselves, lamented that these people were worthless hence not worth his effort. If you did not not know Lee Kuan Yew for what he is or that you were a simpleton Singaporean you would probably believe it. But make no mistake that the reason Lee Kuan Yew didn’t sue many online bloggers was not because they were worthless but because these bloggers were probably residing outside his Singapore and that suing them would bring too many questions and limelight to their writings. I for one wish that either Lee Kuan Yew or his son would sue me. It would bring more credibility to my writings and establish me as an acknowledged Singapore dissident for one and two it would help me to get a political asylum out of persecution of my freedom of speech in my country of choice, even if I have to spend a few years in the local prison.

Neither isn’t suing me until now because doing so would bring more problems than it would solve especially from the freer press in Indonesia. Remember that lies cannot and will not stand under scrutiny. After all Indonesia is not their Singapore. I’m not saying it’s not possible for them to sue me and win in the Indonesian court. Even I would say they probably couldn’t lose knowing full well that the Indonesian judiciary is full of corrupt judges anyway. But such action would be more detrimental to them than it would benefit them

One thing I’m having more difficulty understanding than the weird megalomaniac attitude of Singapore’s ruling elite is the tolerance many people display of the likes of Lee Kuan Yew and cronies. I would argue that Singapore’s ruling elite behavior is nothing less than a caveman mentality no matter how nice things are coated.

Let me elaborate on these people’s strategy on getting rid of troublesome people,

If the troublesome person or a person who slights their ego is of some importance or or is considered the primary target, they will send in their state assassin(s) and the assassination will be covered up, with the full cooperation of the Singapore Police Force, as suicide.

If the troublesome person is a secondary target he/she will be run down on the street by an especially silent car. They have full capability to switch traffic lights at their convenience to help with this.

If the troublesome person is of no importance and has no or little public reputation whatsoever he/she will be defamed mentally ill and may be forced to be committed to a mental institution and only God knows what he/she will have to endure there.

If assassination or psychological torture is deemed unnecessary or that the person has some sort of public reputation, they will strike where they think it will hurt the most next: your money. This is done through public defamation suit followed by the obligation of the victim to pay exorbitant amount of damages to Lee Kuan Yew or his son or his close cronies.

Therefore just as what I said, the caveman mentality of Singapore’s ruling elite can only be  less surprising than the tolerance of the majority of people who chose to tolerate or even support such a tyrannical practice of a public leader. But having an insight how these people operate made me realize the reasoning why there’s so much mess and sufferings in this world. Because primitive people as these Singapore’s elite are often found at the top of mankind’s leadership. Perhaps they are a reflection of the majority of the people they rule, only that they are truly free at the cost of the freedom of their people.
