I do think there are good people in the PAP.
However, the PAP has become too heavy and too dense for change.
From its socialist beginnings, PAP has veered towards capitalistic profit-making leanings, which are no longer compatible with the social development for the citizenry in Singapore.
As much as the PAP of the past has endeavoured great achievements for our history which will be etched into our memories, it is no longer viable for a political party which has sunk its roots into the country for the past 50 years too deeply, which has thereby became irrelevant by the complacency and detachment of the new PAP.
For there to be justice done to the hard work of our older generation and forefathers and mothers who built Singapore to where it is today, we have to have the honour, integrity and most importantly, the social conscience to recognise the change that so urgently needs to come to Singapore, so that we can protect the heritage and history of our country, our society, economy and families.
For it is time that our people have the courage and bravery to look beyond our personal gains for now, to reenvision our nation, and rebuild it to the potential that our older generation had fought for Singapore and Singaporeans today.
Do not let what they have so stridently done for us go to waste. Do not let our fears and doubts cast shadows on their efforts.
It is time we let the past go, and stop just reminiscing of what Singapore could have been, but now take action and use our own hands to create the new reality we've always wanted and have been dreaming of.
Let's join hands, be united and together and see to fruition our dreams and make reality the lives we know can be.
For Singapore. For our families. For our children.
For ourselves. Let us do this.
