Singapore's income is widening quickly. Access to technology and education are factors taut contribute to the widening. It's necessary for all citizens to have access to basic tools needed to reap benefits from economy growth.
Government should create same access for all Singaporeans for education and Healthcare. When people are educated and heathy, they tend to have a better fighting chance of getting a good job. Today, a student who fails to get into a local university and can afford to study in the UK and Australia has a higher chance of success than the same student who cannot afford private overseas alternatives.
It may be useful to adjust tax policies to raise more revenue to fund education and healthcare so that both the rich and poor have smaller gaps in education and healthcare.

Personal experience from my observation in school
Poorer families may not be able to allow their child to travel overseas on self funded school trips
Lack of financial resources also deprives the child of access to tuition and exam resources.
Poorer children need to work after school to earn an income to sustain the family. Richer kids can focus on studies.
I had a good friend in secondary school who couldn't afford to login to computer systems. At that time, access to PCs were charged at a few cents a minute. He seldom used the Internet and didn't have assess to rescuers the others had.
