The mio TV World Cup telecast has been an unmitigated disaster for me.
From Day 1, the transmission has been problematic with intermittent signal loss, frozen images and blank grey screens.
SingTel’s technicians came over on three occasions to fix the issues, but the problems returned.
It is unacceptable for us to be charged a premium rate for such terrible transmission. To date, I have not watched a single match fluidly.
I have made several phone calls to highlight the issues. When I requested for the termination of mio TV, I was told I would be levied a penalty if I were to switch to StarHub. Am I to be penalised for a fault that is not mine? I am disappointed with SingTel’s handling of this issue.
I have a ready OpenNet connection point in my house and have requested that SingTel provide the remaining matches through this connection. I hope it will not charge me for that.
If anything, I feel deprived of the fun of watching the games without a series of agonising interruptions, unnecessary inconvenience and stress.
