Mas Selamat was lost under the care of pap’s leadership at Whitley Road Detention Centre.
At 4:05 pm on Wednesday, 27 February 2008, the JI leader escaped from the Internal Security Department’s Whitley Road Detention Centre where he was being detained [link]. Best of all, after weeks of clueless searching for him, he managed to escape to Malaysia [link]. That is another failure in pap’s leadership!
All pap could say was sorry and for Malaysia to capture Mas Selamat.
Our pap MP, WKS could only say: “This should never have happened. I am sorry that it has [link]. In the end, it was Malaysia who captures him and hand him over back to us [link].
But WKS wasn’t terminated from his job
Usually, after such poor leadership and showing, the Minister will be asked to step down. Pap did nothing to him. Best of all, WKS was made Co-ordinating Minister for National Security from 2010-2011 [link]. Is this is how pap endorse poor leadership? Do you still trust pap’s leadership?
Pap LHL said sorry for the errors in running Singapore during GE2011
In 2011, pap’s LHL mentioned: “If we didn’t get it right, I’m sorry. But we will try better the next time” [link]. It was pap’s LHL public admission that he screwed up.
However, he remained in office.
At the end of the GE, he remained in office. Mr Jacky Foo, the consul-general of Singapore in Hong Kong even quoted that pap won many GEs in the past [link] to show Ms Catherine Lim that she is wrong to allege that Singaporeans do not trust pap as much [link]! Such a display of arrogance that after Singaporeans forgave him, it was used back against Singaporeans! Will you still forgive LHL in the GE 2015/16?
Roy said sorry on his webpage
Like pap’s LHL and WKS, Roy apologized for his comparison of CPF funds with the City Harvest Church [link], although City Harvest Church has yet to be found guilty.
TTSH terminated him using the apology as one reason [link].
However, Roy was still terminated with statements from TTSH and MOH [link]. It is rare for MOH to publish a statement; further fueling the termination was politically motivated [link]. NGOs also expressed concerns over such unfair practices [link].
There is a hierarchy within pap circles too!
For those pap supporters, I hate to say this: There is also hierarchy within your circles. One of these days when there are no more vocal oppositions, there will be conflicts within pap. Remember the NKF vs SPH case? TT Durai lost, as SPH was higher in the hierarchy!
So unless you are at the top of pap circles, you will be sacrificed too!
So for all those who are pap grassroots leaders who have the upper hand against the common folks may one day be like NKF when they meet someone more senior in pap. A very good example is Andrew Kuan. He used to be a pap member and JTC’s CFO. The establishment turned against him when he decided to run for presidency. JTC even held a press conference to tell the public that he was asked to leave the statutory board because his performance was not satisfactory [Link]. This is how pap will treat you one day when you are no longer in their good book! But of course, if you are in the pap top echelon like WKS, you still get to keep your job even though you may have let a major terrorist figure escape from prison!
Suggested Solution: Change government, vote pap out in 2015/16
At least I try to provide a solution to ensure there is fairness for the common Singaporeans. It is the most feasible solution. Of course many are concerned about changes and no one like changes. But don’t worry, according to this international survey, Singapore is very prepared for any changes [link]. In fact, we are the most ready in the world for change!
So, what do the rest of 60.1% Singaporeans say?
Do you still trust the pap?
Are you game enough to change the government?
