Recently, Indranee Rajah joined the ranks of venomous politicking by accusing WP of claiming credit over the CPF Medisave issue on her FB page.
Ever since GE2011, WP has been on the short end of the stick and received many uncalled cheap shots and character assassination and personal attacks. Some are downright rude and very primary schoolish which makes us think if they are fighting over political points or really have the passion to serve.
We have witnessed how Vivian Balakrishnan foamed at his mouth when he jabbed his offending finger at Sylvia Lim over the NEA Spring Cleaning Hawker Centre Issue.
We have heard how Lim Wee Kiat made a rude remark about Low Thia Kiang's hearing aid and insulted every male Singapore by saying that "National Service is a privilege reserved for Singaporeans only".
We have also read about Hri Kumar's take that WP is sitting on the fence over the hijab issue and HOTA Act and that if 'you don't stand for anything, you will fall for nothing'. And he also laughed over Low Thia Kiang's "motherhood statement" issue.
Last but not least, Josephine Teo went on a tirade and said WP was trying to claim credit for her work over the concessions for various groups of people in public transport.
PAP holds the dominant majority seats in Parliament and they fear no one when it comes to trashing WP. However, except when it comes to GE2015/ GE2016, the voice of the labourer is as loud as a CEO. Both have just one vote.
So far, PAP is fielding a new team to contest and wrestle Aljunied GRC back from WP.
The old team of George Yeo, Cynthia Phua, Lim Hwee Hwa will not be fielded back.
If Vivian Balakrishnan, Indranee Rajah, Lim Wee Kiat, Hri Kumar and Josephine Teo feels strongly that WP is of no standard and just a Wayang party, they should come out from their GRC and make a stand together and wrestle back Aljunied GRC in GE2016.
As in the words of Hri Kumar, "Those who stand for nothing fall for anything."
Hri Kumar should be mindful that these words can be used against him in GE2016.
