I refer to TRS article “Roy Ngerng fired from Tan Tock Seng Hospital for “improper public conduct”. This is not surprising because PAP has all the while been engaged in destructive politics. So much for all the talk about constructive politics. As the top dog in politics, I feel strongly that PM Lee is a disgrace. He has probably made himself an international laughing stock for having stooped so low to sue an ordinary Singaporean.
Just last month, a security guard was fired for posting a vulgar comment on PM Lee’s Facebook. Why did PM Lee not even engage him to find about the issues which had caused him to hurl such online insults instead of having him fired? All this talk about engaging citizens is just that - talk. The PAP only wants to show who the boss is and has forgotten the power it wields actually comes from the people.
SMRT driver of 18 years and popular blogger ‘GINTAI’ was axed by the government linked company on 26 September last year. ‘Gintai’ blogged all things SMRT (positive and negative) and was even invited to meet Minister Shanmugam in 2012. So SMRT took the initiative to fire Gintai for the negatives?
With regard to Roy’s firing, Tan Tock Seng Hospital says it is due to “improper public conduct”. TTSH can say whatever it wants but the general public are not stupid. There are enough precedents for us to know the PAP is trying to kill the chicken to scare the monkeys. And monkeys we are not.
PM Lee would do well to reflect on the damage he has done to himself, his party and our country. His law suit to bankrupt an ordinary citizen has already gone too far. Fair minded citizens, including PAP supporters, will not accept Roy being fired for speaking up on the CPF issue.
As the most powerful man who is supposed to be taking care of citizens, our leader has proven he was asleep at the wheel on the CPF issue. Its co-driver also failed to slap him for driving citizens to the wrong destination. Fortunately, a passenger pointed out that taking the direction towards ‘Retirement Shortfall Road’ is wrong. However, the burly but drowsy driver has decided to throw the passenger out of the car.
Real citizenship means we should stand up when a fellow citizen is being bullied. Not just by another more powerful and wealthy citizen but anyone. PM Lee’s defiance against the people’s wishes for more transparency must not be tolerated. It may be timely for this drowsy driver to be fired.
