Singaporean men are more gentlemanly than Japanese men and are more accepting of working women.
At least this is what self proclaimed 'ninja girls' Aya Imura, Atsuko Sato, Ms Manami and Ms Kayo think.
The 4 girls are Japanese girls living and working in Singapore who blog together at http://www.ninjagirls.sg/
According to them, Singaporean men are more accepting of a working woman and are happy to help out with household chores. Singaporeans are more gentlemanly and don't have the mindset of Japanese men who often expect their wives to be a full time housewife.
The girls are all 29 and 30 and have been working here for about 2 to 4 years. Aya Imura is a Singapore PR as she married a Singaporean man but the rest are here on work passes.
They also feel that Singapore is a more open minded place that is accepting of different cultures.
Ms Manami, 29, said that she took up pole dancing here to get fit and reflected that in Japan, if she did such a thing, everyone would assume she was a stripper.
They also wrote about how Japan is very single-cultured while Singapore has a good mix of many cultures.
There are more than 27,500 Japanese nationals in Singapore, of which some 1,692 are PRs.
