Dear The Real Singapore,
I refer to the TRS article: SOMEONE VANDALISE THE WALL OF A HDB FLAT WITH THE COMMENT "F**K THE PAP" and I also read the Straits Times and STOMP report on the same news: "Graffiti spotted at the top of 23-storey high HDB block in Toa Payoh" and me and my workmates can't help but laugh at the amount of censorship our oppressed mainstream media is in their reporting.
Straits Times tried to cover up the hatred of Singaporeans against the PAP by censoring particularly the word "FUCK" and "PAP". Since when does the acronym PAP requires censorship? Is it a vulgarity? Channel News Asia is even more funny, they didn't even show photos of the vandalism showing the word "FUCK THE PAP" at all.
Since Straits Times treat PAP as a vulgar word maybe next on the voting slip we should also censor the PAP logo and the word PAP? We better hope Straits Times will continue showing consistency when doing their censorship. Next time there are news about our PAP leaders and ministers I hope they will censor out the acronymn PAP as well.
Refer to the photos below:
This is the actual uncensored photo shared on The Real Singapore:
Honestly speaking, I think our mainstream media is hopeless already. Their readership keeps dropping and their revenue also keeps dropping. The worse thing is they don't really know what is the main problem. Propaganda about the PAP and the media freedom ranking is the main problem. Every Singaporean also know that the Straits Times is not credible and all their news is just government propaganda. Unless they somehow show defiance to the PAP government or buy over the Alternative news website, I think their future doesn't look very bright for them.
Their lousy attempt at doing damage control of the hatred towards PAP will only make Singaporeans more angry at the PAP as well as distrusting the mainstream media even more.
Singaporeans have reached their boiling point.
Sincerely,
Joseph Koh
