(2) The video shows at least 6 police officers deployed at the scene with one Station Inspector on the scene.
(3) The video started with shouting from one Indian subject and bystanders, possible (unconfirmed) family members, asking to record the events on video in Indian language.
(4) The video shows three notable subjects, one male Indian subject being detained on the staircase, one male Indian subject being pinned down on the corridor in front of the staircase and one middle-aged female Indian subject sitting up on the floor of the corridor.
(5) The video first focuses on the one male Indian subject detained on the staircase. The subject has 2 notable taser prongs on the front of his shirt.
(6) The subject appears to be hostile and incoherent, claiming that he had withstood the taser.
(7) The video then focuses on the SI who appears to be trying to make a call on his handphone.
(8) The video then focuses on the one male Indian subject being pinned on the corridor in front of the staircase.
(9) The subject claim that the officers are stepping on him and shouted that he cannot breathe.
(10) Immediately afterwards, there are shouting from the bystanders.
(11) The bystanders shouted at the officers repeating that the subject being pinned is unable to breathe.
(12) The officers immediately stop pinning the suspect and brought him to lay on his side.
(13) The subject then hurled vulgarities.
(14) More officers than surrounded the subject.
(15) The video stopped after 1 minute and 8 seconds.
(16) In the facebook video comments, Shy Sinner claims, “They findin for someone but they end up accusing my brothers and when they tried to explain they forced the issue and naturally they raised their voice on the police and the fuckin police used this to test their toys.. and they pushed my mom on the floor.. She is a heart patient”
(17) There is a second video from Shy Sinner facebook page most likely related to the first video, depicting several officers and bystanders around a Police Fast Response Car.
(18) The video is captioned “That fucker is smiling. . He is enjoying the misery of others!”
(19) One female ASP officers appears to be giving orders to the officers around the car.
(20) One of the officers has swapped places with another officer escorting a subject in the Police FRC
(21) One of the officers at the driver’s position appears to be smiling and the camera man confronted the officer on this.
(22) The Female ASP officer then went to talk to the bystanders believed to be family members of the subject who appears to be agitated with the situation.
(23) The second video stopped after 1 minute and 8 seconds.
Important things to take note of or consider:
(1) There is a lack of context to what caused the incident. Appealing for information.
(2) Could this incident have been prevented in the first place?
(3) There are no indications if any of the subjects are drunk.
(4) The bystanders also appeared to be agitated by the Police.
(5) Having people pinning on you could trigger a feeling of suffocation as the normal diaphragm motions are interrupted. However the officers immediately unpinned him after the subject claimed he could not breathe.
(6) For a public nuisance claim to be made, a complainant must exist. Is an unruly subject without any complainants truly be unruly? Who is the complainant?
(7) A taser shock can cause neural disruption, causing some speech impairment or a short term drunk like state.
(8) The video seems to be getting several defensive comments from Indian commenters, do the Indian community somehow feel being targeted upon recently?
Please share if you have more information of this case. We as tax paying members of the public need to know if a abuse of power really took place or not and if this incident could have been avoided entirely.
