Response and Clarification on article about misleading WDA funding scheme

I refer to my previous post on a misleading WDA scheme which was published to TRS: Misleading WDA funding scheme and cheated $1200 for course fee recovery after withdrawal!

I have read the comments on TRS… Some very unforgiving who happen to be trolls of some kind. Others think I am against PAP or trying to get best of both worlds.

Let’s set the record straight by summarizing my post into 3 things:

1. It was an embarrassing situation for me. I should have read the terms and conditions in the email sent to me thoroughly before committing. But things were genuinely misleading during the online application process which culminated the point of payment, for an agreement to their terms and conditions stated. I even read the refund and withdrawal policy online before fucking committing. Heh, how dumb am I for not reading my emails huh? Heh how stupid am I for missing out the first lesson for my marriage and not before getting assurance from them saying it’s ok I will be briefed later. And you know what, they recommended me the fucking course as shown in my email correspondences. The evidences are all there for you to see.

2. Everything happened in 2010 when i was the pioneer batch of students. Yah, may be I should take up the certification course first, and I did applied for that and got rejected due to overwhelming response before they recommended another one. Perhaps because of my situation or other complaints, they improved their system. You may ask why did I make a post only 4 years later? Well, I read in TRS some guy also got mislead too and have to pay up. That’s 4 years after my incident! Really, how bad could such a Good scheme become?

3. I wasn’t political or advocating any party in particular. I am just doing my part to warn others about signing up for a WDA funded course! I said it in the last section of my post before post-script. And yes, my post was too long for most to read through. I get it.

lastly, I do feel cheated by their approach of doing things And I did fucking appeal for a waiver. They were having none of it though… So I paid up in the end!

When I went to the CET office to pay up, the officers all went hiding and left the administrator to collect the cheques etc. They were clearly embarrassed by the situation too, I believe, having to collect money for providing 10-20% of my attendance in class. Heh, I didn’t complain, act like a wild child throwing tantrums at them. I was polite and cordial to them. I took it out of my chest only 4 years later. You kn what, there were like 30 other students there, what have you gotta lose for letting me off? I would have willingly paid up on a pro-rata basis but you fucking insisted all of my cake.

Good luck to those who get caught in the same situation… I want you to know that not many first-world countries offer you a cake and end up eating yours. Its uniquely Singapore isn’t it?
