I know I am going to be abused for writing this but I am going to do it anyway.
For more than 2 months we haven't seen rain. During this period as we watched the plants wither and temperature soar, it reminds us that we've always taken rain for granted. Only when we are deprived of it then we realized the importance of it.
It is also during this period that I wondered what would have happened if we had been deprived of drinking water because of the drought? That thought probably did not cross the minds of many Singaporeans because we have been used to having drinking water.
I would just like to take this opportunity to offer our gratitude to the government for doing a great job in keeping our usual activities going without having to worry about water. Thank you.
