26-year-old spray-painted Singlish phrases on roads, affixed stickers on pedestrian signs
“Sticker Lady” Samantha Lo Xin Hui has been sentenced to 240 hours of community service within a year by District Judge Christopher Goh.
She was also given a Day Reporting Order for three months to a reporting centre for regular supervision and counselling.
Last month, the 26-year-old online arts magazine founder pleaded guilty to seven counts of mischief for spray-painting Singlish phrases on several roads and affixing a sticker on a pedestrian sign.
Her accomplice, Anthony Chong Tze Chen, also pleaded guilty to three mischief charges for acting as a lookout for Lo while she spray-painted on public roads near Robinson Road on May 17 last year.
Chong was sentenced to 160 hours of community service within a year and given a Day Reporting Order for three months to a reporting centre for regular supervision and counselling.
Lo spray-painted “My Grandfather Road” on several roads using a can of white spray-paint and a metal stencil between March and May last year.
She also pasted a sticker saying “SO KANCHEONG FOR WHAT” on a pedestrian sign along Robinson Road in the early hours of May 17 last year. The word, “kancheong” is a Cantonese word for being anxious or impatient.
