I refer to the article: TRS NEEDS TO HAVE BETTER QUALITY CONTROL IN THE TYPE OF ARTICLES THEY APPROVE
Personally, I like TRS as it is now.
TRS is a microphone for anyone who has something to say. So long as someone submits an article, you publish it without censorship; and readers give their raw, unadulterated comments.
I think your Free-For-All style is your unique strength, don't change it.
Once you start to decide what to publish, what not to publish - you risk going down the slippery road of censorship and perhaps even sweeping under carpet issues which may not be to your personal liking. Then you end up becoming another prejudiced and sterile Straits Times.
Personally I don't fancy those Aunt Agony, seeking relationship advice kind of letters that you sometimes publish; but well I guess there may be some other readers find such articles/reader advice enjoyable or useful. I think it is great that you publish articles covering a wide range of topics.
For readers of TRS - if any particular article or topic is not to your liking, you can always choose not to read it. Don't deprive other readers who may be interested in those articles.
I must say I have been exposed to a lot of new information reading TRS articles and readers' comments, which otherwise I would not have known if I relied solely on the mainstream media or other heavily censored media.
