A cat was found at Woodlands Industrial Park E with a broken leg and blind in one eye after being caught in a glue trap.
Animal lovers and netizens are now appealing for donations to cover its medical bills.
Glue board traps MUST BE BANNED.
"The kitten will not be able to live normally even after its recovery."
Talib, who found out about the incident through a Facebook posting, said:
"Some people are trying to raise funds for this kitten, but I am not sure how much they have raised.
"It would really help if you can create awareness about this case."
According to the Facebook posting, the kitten's condition is now stable but it has to remain hospitalised for some time as its fur is still sticky with glue.
In addtion to that, About 6 children in my estate told me yesterday policemen attended to an injured turtle last Thursday afternoon. Policeman informed children they will send injured turtle to pond.
I called Cantonment Police Station this evening to find out where did policemen sent injured turtle to. I am shocked to hear from Officer Zainah that it is STUPID to have an injured turtle or in a Police Car. Does It mean Police helping an injured animal is "STUPID " ???
Why did Police informed children that they will send injured turtle to pond and not to vet? Wrong thing were taught to children. So very sad.
Children told me police should send injured turtle to vet, and not to pond cos injured turtle will not survive in pond. I am glad to know children did NOT learn wrong thing from the policemen. What a relieve.
Apparently, that was no record about injured turtle attended by policemen. Why there was no incident report made? Because it is STUPID to help injured animal or helping an injured animal is against Police Protocol even it is a life and death situation?
It is INHUMANE to send an injured turtle to pond or abandoned any sick pet without proper treatment.
