Should we continue to trust the PAP or should we move on?

PAP has been in power for 50 years, so we should trust that only they will be able to do a good job - then we should have never left the British since they were in power for more than 140 years. Why did they (have to) leave?

It's about being consistent - do we trust the PAP because we know they know what they are doing, or just because they have been in power for so long we choose not to rock the boat? If we don't really know what they are doing, what are we trusting them for? Because we are scared? That's lame. Bad excuse.

PAP and WP (and other parties) aside, who should be in the grassroots? What is the purpose of the grassroots - to help whoever was elected in the constituency to run the constituency, or whoever can be planted there without elected powers to decide for the citizens what they want, over the elected leaders?

It's about consistency - same rules apply for everyone. If some people get to get away and some people are held even tighter - then all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

Perhaps that's why - we live on Animal Farm and we believe what we choose to not think about and give our rights away. Meanwhile, let's continue shopping because buying commercial products give us more meaning to life, rather than to understand life itself and how we can gain our rights back. What are our rights anyway? Does it make money for us?

And so it shall be, when Singapore is sold off, like the pigs had so off Animal Farm, shall Singaporeans acknowledge how much of sheep we have become.

We can pretend that the failure of Singapore is what makes us want to stick with the PAP - the tried and tested, so-called.

But do we have the integrity to admit that we do not have the courage of our grandparents and theirs, who took to the streets with courage, and claimed Singapore?

We can pretend we fear the downfall of Singapore, but do we dare to admit that the fear we truly have is not of this country but for ourselves?

If you truly love Singapore, would you sit back and let the 81 people in government make all the decisions, and wait. What are you waiting for? That after 30 years, they might start to care for us?

Then, your inaction and your fear will what will be what brings down Singapore, if not for yourself, but for your children and theirs.

If our country languishes, the blood is in the hands that you currently choose not to raise and use. Betrayal lies in your hands.

At least the generation of fore soiled their hands. What have we? Washed clean our hands only to have it bloodied in time to come.
