Dear The Real Singapore,
I would like to remain anonymous in this email to you. I believe the recent Anton Casey matter has touched on several raw nerves.
1. Singapore government's lust to attract rich foreigners to Singapore. I recall that it was only recently that Lee Hsien Loong said he wished to attract more billionaires to Singapore (http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/pm-getting-politics-right-critical-spore) for the jobs and opportunities they bring? Does the government care about the quality of the rich that it grants residency to? obviously not. It is only concerned about how rich they are, never mind that they come to Singapore and abuse the system and its people.
2. The immigration rules, which are related to 1. are obviously flawed.
3. LTA just has not got it right with the COE, such that only the rich can afford cars, and the supposedly poor left to the mercy of a broken public transport system.
Shanmugam has to show solidarity to the "poor" as Anton Casey has touched on all issues created by the government. Remember two is enough policy?
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_control_in_Singapore)..we are still paying the price today. It is about time the government admits that it is wrong..as it was 45years ago.
