It is not by how many percent. Neither is it about the range of between four and twenty cents. Any public transport fare hike is unjustifiable. At a time when public transport users should be compensated for the rubbish transport services, we are slapped with a fare increase – even after the government had used our monies to help bail the private entity out by pumping in more trains and buses at our expense.
Another step the PAP government has taken, to antagonize the citizens into action.
We hope the PAP government can see that the breaking point is not too far away. We are abiding citizens even when unreasonable policies are accepted as reasonable for the sake of peace and stability. But pushing it too far, especially taking the citizens for fools, the PAP is committing a communal crime, a crime that seeks to destabilize the peace and tranquility that the citizens are trying their best to uphold.
With the State Troll Press helping the government to buffer the unsavory news, it is a further insult to the intelligence of Singaporeans.
No one is fool enough not to see that the State Troll has chosen to use 3.2% instead of 4 and 20 cents to announce the fare increases. 3.2 is the smallest number among the three. Furthermore, the shade of 3.2% shadows the light grey shade of 4 & 20 in its print. Tricks of the trade at its utmost best, this National Troll of the PAP government.
Singaporeans, have you had enough? JBJ had enough many years before he passed on. We are still living in the shadow of shame.
