According to the EC, about 80% of 12,992,661 voters turned out for the 13th general election - the highest in Malaysia's electoral history.

The Malaysian GE has become a tussle between the righteous citizens vs BN. It is really sad to see that such massive electoral frauds are happening in Malaysia, the land next door. I fear and I do sincerely fear that all these corrupted practices may one day invade us, Singapore, like a virus....

There are so many videos surfacing online showing the Malaysian people rising up and taking action to stop phantom votes. Now, videos have shown that it can get violent with helmets being thrown:

I think this is getting out of control... if BN wins by using electoral frauds, most likely there will be massive protests and even riots tonight and thereafter. BN will then use the excuse to install martial law... what's next? Philippines style People's Power to topple BN?

I do hope that BN will come to its senses. Losing GE now is just a temporary loss but losing its credibility is a permanent dent and damage to its standing! If people were forced to the corner, feeling desperate that their political voice and will have been stolen by fraudulent practices, they will be forced to remove the BN by people's power. If the citizens lost all faith in the electoral process and the ruling party, they will naturally come to the conclusion that only force, protests could remove them. I hope that this will not happen.... as I have many friends in Malaysia..

There is a lot happening in the Malaysian GE, especially on phantom voters and how citizens' active participation and role, have helped them to prevent many electoral frauds from happening.

Although Singapore's elections aren't really that dirty but we must prepared ourselves and realize that we cannot take Fair and Free elections for granted. Each and everyone of us has a role to play to ensure that we and only us, Singaporeans will decide the future of country. And we and only us could ensure the democratic process be free of frauds.

I hope that by next GE2016, many more Singapore citizens like you would step forward to help us, the whole country, to uphold the fair electoral process. Do not take things for granted. Only we could make it clean and fair.
