Dear The Real Singapore,
I am extremely disgusted with the level of service provided by GROUPON SINGAPORE! I bought this deal (Japanese Mirror Surface Low Table with Free Delivery at $54.90 (Worth $99)) and it was delivered to me with cracks, I told the delivery guy to take it back due to the defect, but he told me that I will have to contact Groupon Customer Service for this as he is only responsible to deliver.
I called up Groupon and I was told I had to bring the good down to Henderson Service Centre, 211 Henderson Rd Unit 06-02 for any refunds or exchange. As I am working 6 days week, I had to take my personal leave to bring the goods back for refund. So I brought it down yesterday afternoon at about 12.30pm. When I reached #06-02, there was a notice pasted at the door to informing customers that the Henderson Service Centre had shifted to #04-01. Don't they know some of the items brought back by customers are bulky and heavy? I was made to carry the table up to level 6 and down back to level 4. This is extremely unacceptable as Groupon did not even bother to update their email templates. Furthermore, this is extremely shameful for such a big organisation from USA!
When I reached Groupon Henderson Service Centre at level 4, one of the male Customer Service Officer which I could not get his name was extremely rude. He shouted at me for putting the goods on the counter table claiming his counter is made of glass and will crack. I do not understand why does Groupon employed such ill mannered Customer Service Officer. When I ask him how will the refund mode be like, he replied that he don't know and asked me to call the Customer Service hotline and the CSO will tell me.
Groupon made me spent so much just to bring the goods back to them! This includes my precious time, my leave (which equates to my 1/2 day pay), my transportation cost, & vehicle parking fees.
Those who patronise Groupon, buy from them at your own risk~!
Regards,
Gary Ng Shun Wei
